A computer is a device which is being made of various physical components which combine them and helps to be used as the computer hardware, this hardware can be used only by the use of the computer software and the OS (Operating System) on the computer and the multiple Software applications are being used to perform the various desired functions.
There are various ways in which the computer hardware’s being used. These components are being designed and managed in such a manner in which you can attach them separately to make a very cost effective component which can perform various tasks in a small span of time.
The basics parts which hardware comprises of is the motherboard, Power supply, Removable media devices, Secondary storage, Sound Card and Input and Output peripherals.
The motherboard is the basic part of the computer which is available in the case. This is basically a large rectangular board which is made up of the integrated circuitry which connects the various parts of the computer which includes to that of the CPU, Random Access Memory , the disk drive such as the ( CD, DVD, hard disks as well) there are also various expansion slots available in it as well.
A power supply unit is basically a converter which converts the Alternating Current (AC) electric power to that to the low power DC voltage. There are also few such power supplies which have the switch to change in between the 230V and 115V.
There are few models available as well in which they have the automatic sensors available to change the input voltage to that to the voltage accepting the limits. The most commonly used Power supply units which are being used in a computer is the Switch mode power supply (SMPS). This maintains the regulated current into the computer system.
